What is drop wallet?
A self-custody crypto wallet that lets you send to social handles, phone numbers, and emails instead of wallet addresses and offers tools to aquire, manage and spend digital assets.
Is drop wallet free?
Yes. You only pay blockchain network fees. Premium members get zero fees on Solana and Polygon transactions. Swaps are subject to 0% up to 0.69% fees.
Is it safe?
Yes. Transaction approvals can only be made via the passkey stored on your device (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint). Only you can access your funds - neither Drop or anyone else can access it.
Sending & Receiving
How do I send to someone?
Enter their @handle (X, Telegram, TikTok), phone number, or email. No wallet address needed but is still an option.
Can I send to someone not on drop?
Yes. Funds are held in an on-chain Deposit Vault until they sign up and verify their identity.
How do I receive crypto?
Share your @handle, phone, email, or wallet address. Go to Receive to see your QR code and addresses.
Security
How do passkeys work?
Passkeys use your device's biometrics (Face ID, fingerprint) to protect your private keys. No passwords or seed phrases. See Passkeys for details.
What if I lose my device?
If your passkeys sync to iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, or via Password Manager you can recover on a new device. Additionally, you can recover with backups if you have made them in a form of passkeys or private keys.
